Looking to relax and relieve stress, Julie partook in a reflexology treatment. To her surprise, the results were so amazing that she decided she wanted to learn the art and share it with others. Not looking back, Julie graduated her reflexology training with flying colours and a healing and caring touch and is now certified through the Canadian Academy of Reflexology and Deep muscle massage.

The treatment:

A full reflexology treatment will take approximately 1 hour in a tranquil environment. The treatment involves a pleasurable soak in a soothing footbath, the relaxation of both feet and ankles, followed by entire coverage of both feet using pressure point movements and following the ideas of zone therapy and reflex, pressure point correlation.

An initial observation of the feet will take place, with any problem areas recorded along with a medical health questionnaire. Any problem areas/ interesting findings discovered throughout the treatment will also be recorded for consideration at the end. End your reflexology experience with a soothing, moisturizing application of jojoba or almond oil, working the entire foot simultaneously doing what we call desserts.

Lastly for deeper relaxation we engage in deep breathing exercise.

Treatments are beneficial for all ages. Elderly and children treatments are not as long. Julie will perform treatments in her home or in the comfort of your own home. Holistic Counsellor

Tracy is a Holistic Counsellor who practices Individual and Family Counselling from the perspective of whole health. She helps people identify unhealthy thinking and behaviour patterns that cause them to repeat the same conflicts. Tracy teaches clients to improve communication and boundaries so relationships become easier and more enjoyable. She also encourages people to find balance (body, mind, spirit), through teaching and practice.

In the fall of 2010 Julie Wilson and Mark Reynolds decided to combine their talents and form Wilson&Reynolds reflexology. Both Julie and Mark studied and received their certification at the Canadian Academy of Reflexology and Deep Muscle Therapy in Waterloo, Ontario. It was during their studies that Julie and Mark began to see the validity and effectiveness of regular reflexology treatments.

Julie and Mark come from a diverse background in the private sector. Their common desire to give back and make a difference in people’s lives led them to pursue the complementary health modality of reflexology.

Reflexology results are to relax, reduce stress, increase circulation, and balance the systems of the body. Reflexology can be used to help boost the immune system, provide relief from pain and anxiety, improve digestive and circulatory issues, help with the pressure of headaches and migraines, provide relief from symptoms of menopause and PMS, lower stress levels, and generally provide a better quality of life.

In the spring of 2008, Mark initiated a reflexology program at Hopespring Cancer Support Centre in Waterloo. Many studies have shown that reflexology is effective in providing relief from pain and anxiety. At the time, Hopespring did not offer reflexology. Now, reflexology is by far the most sought after modality at the centre. This is a testament to the effectiveness of this amazing natural therapy.

The future and scope of reflexology will continue to expand as this wonderfully effective therapy is more widely understood.
