As an overweight child and teen with a terribly body image, Anna finally took control of her life at age 22. Now a personal trainer (certified through Can-Fit-Pro), a yoga instructor (certified through Wilfred Laurier University/and Denise Davis-Gains of Atlas Studio), and health, fitness and wellness writer Anna continues to educate herself on fitness as a way of life.

Anna has studied yoga under Carolyn Weatherson of Performance Dance Academy in Guelph, Ontario and Denise Davis-Gains of Atlas Yoga Studio in Kitchener, Ontario. She has also been lucky to attend a workshop with renowned Ashtanga yogi David Williams, who studied under K. Pattabhi Jois himself.

The gift of yoga begins with the breath. To find the breath in one’s body is to experience a wonderful place that is inside all of us; one of awareness, balance, dedication, and trust. Through my teaching I create an opportunity for my students to explore this place.

Yoga found its way into my life in 2001, my dad taking me to my first class at our gym. Unaware at the time that this class was the beginning of my lifelong practice; I have since studied with a variety of teachers, in many wonderful places around the earth.

I hold a degree in Political Science and Communications from Sir Wilfrid Laurier University (Waterloo, 2006). Upon graduation I moved to Europe to explore its rich culture. When living on the Island of Paros, Greece I studied Zen Meditation (Zazen), Tai Chi, and Vinyasa Yoga at Tao’s Spiritual Centre (www.taos-greece.com). Tao’s is a unique paradise owned by three Israel families, with a Thai chef, on a Greek island, housing visitors from around the globe; it is a place of friendship, happiness, acceptance, and growth. My stay at Tao’s taught me to make more time for self study, reflection, and create balance in life through daily practice. In the busy Western lifestyle these concepts may often be overlooked; my teachings always keep their importance in mind.

In May 2007 I commenced my studies at The School of Natural Medicine and Yoga Therapy (Toronto). It is here that I was first introduced to Kundalini Yoga: The Yoga of Awareness. I am one of a small group of teachers that are qualified to teach this powerful form of yoga. Studying both Kundalini and Hatha yoga I have grown personally and professionally as a dedicated and patient teacher. I use my knowledge to create unique programs for my students who include (but are not limited to) Runners (Athletes), Children, Seniors, Students, Men & Women. My programs also further develop strong concentration, dedication, and focus as I teach the concepts of self study and reflection. Often playing music in the teaching space, my classes will not only energize you, but help you shape, tone, and strengthen your entire body.

My name is Beth Murch and I am a professional Antenatal, Labour and Postpartum Doula in the Kitchener-Waterloo region. From a very early age, I was interested in pregnancy and childbirth - I was the child who told all the other children in the schoolyard how babies were made. While other little girls and boys were playing soccer and having tea parties, I was putting basketballs up my shirt and breastfeeding my dollies.

I have a Double Honours Bachelor of Arts in English and Religion & Culture, with a minor in Women's Studies, as well as a Master of Arts in Religion & Culture, all from Wilfrid Laurier University, Waterloo. My focus of study in university has been primarily on women's religious and spiritual experiences during pregnancy and childbirth.

I have received my training through the Ontario Perinatal School and the Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association of Canada (CAPPA). Through these organization, I have gained the skills to help women and their families enjoy pregnancy, express their birthing desires, help them achieve the birth that is safest and most satisfying for them, and to enjoy a positive postpartum period. I believe that a woman's emotional support team is as vital to her birth experience as her medical team, and through my education, I have learned techniques that help women labour effectively, manage pain, breastfeed and make informed choices about their care. Dr John Stewart graduated from Glasgow University in Medical Sciences and later earned a master's degree in Biophysics at London University's Imperial College (the MIT of Europe). He emigrated to Toronto, pursuing a Ph.D. in Neuro-Physiology and later earned a B.Sc in Electronic Engineering at University of Toronto with specialization in circuit design and bio-medical electronics.

I am the owner and creator of fluid wellness center. I have been practicing energy healing arts since I was a young child. I was raised in a family that was spiritual and open minded. In my teenage years I attended many workshops, courses and classes about energy, healing, meditation, magik, yoga, card readings and psychic development.

In 2002 I recieved my first degree of Reiki and to follow with second degree in 2003. At that time I began practicing on friends, family and co-workers.

In 2006 I became certified to perform and teach Axiatonal Re-alignment. My teacher and mentor Christine Jacobsen is a well known healer in the Waterloo Region.

In 2007 I became a certified Reiki Master/Teacher and have been practicing on clients across Waterloo Region. My mother Candace, a well known healer in Huron County is my teacher and mentor for all Reiki levels using the Usui Shiki Ryoho and Shinju Pa Ro methods.

In 2008 I was initiated in the great universal brotherhood and sisterhood of light through the Adept program by teachers Angel and Jason Di Paolo from the Rocky Mountain Mystery school.

In 2008 I attended the course by Dr. Sharon Forrest where I was taught and initiated to CCMBA (completed cellular mind body alignment) and CCSMC (Complete cellular soul memory clearing).

I am also a nurse. I began on the journey to help people with my love of the body-science and nature. I turned to nursing. I graduated from conestoga college in 2003 from the Registered Practical Nursing program. Later in 2006 I returned to school hungry for more knowledge. I graduated from Mcmaster university bachelor of science in nursing degree in 2009. I enjoy helping people in life and have a passion for science, metaphysics and energy.

I am currently taking the Yoga Teacher Training through Atlas Yoga studios. Denise is my fabulous teacher. I hope to be a certified yoga instructor this June and incorporate all the healing modalities, science and movement together into fluid movement of the body, mind and energy.

Born and raised in Japan I absorbed the perceptions and ways of thinking of the Japanese through osmosis. From my earliest recollections I have been interested in the stories of the "bushi" (samurai) and their code of conduct and training methods. The lighter side of my interests include a love of dance, music and reading. All of this became a good catalyst for me later on when I discovered "ki" (energy).

The spiritual aspects of a person's life - be it a religious calling, or a personal journey - has always fascinated me.I have always been comfortable with the idea of being a spiritual being in a physical body and that we are part of everything around us. Natural healing is an offshoot of this thought.

I came to Canada 40 years ago and call it home. Continuing my never-ending search for "something", Life finally in 1995 led me to a group of healers in various professions. I chose Reiki after my first experience because I felt very much at home both with concept and the feeling. It was very definitely a feeling of 'coming home'. At the same time I felt a need to do Tai Chi and started in 1996. These two Asian arts have sustained me throughout the past ten years and I take much joy in both practicing and teaching.
